These terms describe use of the Homeroom Assistant website, its fictional public demo, and the signed-in classroom service. The Privacy Policy explains information handling; the Student Privacy page describes classroom-record context.
The service
Homeroom Assistant provides a public informational website and classroom software for authorized educators and the students they supervise. A public interactive demo is fictional and memory-only: changes made there illustrate sample workflows and do not create or update classroom records. Do not enter real student information in that demo.
The signed-in classroom service may support rosters, attendance, lunch information, hall passes, assignments, groups, planning, calendars, lessons, participation, behavior records, and Teacher’s Desk materials. Available features can vary by release. The service is a tool for classroom organization, not a replacement for professional judgment, school procedures, or emergency services.
Accounts and authority
Adult account holders must provide accurate account information, protect their sign-in methods and devices, and use only accounts they are authorized to access. Before collecting or entering student information, an educator or organization must have the authority and notices, permissions, and agreements required for that collection and use.
Supervised students may use classroom views only as directed by their responsible educator. A school affiliation or shared device does not by itself grant access to a classroom or its records. Account holders must use available sharing, screen, and export controls with care. These responsibilities do not transfer or reduce obligations that Homeroom Assistant has as a service operator.
Acceptable use and security
Use the website and service lawfully and for their intended educational and operational purposes. Do not disrupt the service, bypass access controls, impersonate another person, probe systems without authorization, or upload unlawful, harmful, or malicious material.
Use appropriate account, browser, and device security. Shared screens and offline devices can expose information to people nearby or to later device users. Tell us about suspected account misuse or a security issue through the contact page. No single account holder can guarantee the security or availability of every network or device.
Classroom content and decisions
You retain the rights you have in content you submit, subject to the rights of students, schools, families, and other rights holders. These terms do not decide who owns an education record. You permit Homeroom Assistant to host, process, display, back up, and transmit submitted content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the service for authorized users.
Educators and organizations remain responsible for educational decisions and for their choices to view, share, print, download, or export records. Check recipients and exported files before sharing them. The service does not make an educational decision for you.
The Privacy Policy describes information categories and the adopted retention schedule. The Cookie & Browser Storage Policy explains browser copies, including offline data and downloaded files.
Materials and links
Website text, illustrations, and product previews may be protected by intellectual-property rights. Materials remain with their respective rights holders. Do not remove attribution or present fictional examples as actual classroom records.
The service may display or link to third-party materials or services. Those materials remain subject to their providers’ terms and practices. A link does not mean Homeroom Assistant controls or endorses an external service.
Changes, suspension, and closure
We may change or discontinue parts of the website or service. We may restrict or suspend access when needed to protect users, records, or service operations, or to address misuse or a legal requirement. Where practical, we will provide notice through an available account or contact channel. This does not promise uninterrupted service.
An authorized account holder may ask to close an account or classroom. The Privacy Policy describes the retention schedule and its current implementation status, including limits for backups, disconnected devices, and exported copies.

These terms do not create an order, subscription, refund rule, or other payment arrangement. For billing questions about a separately accepted order, email billing@homeroomassistant.com.
